Faith Formation

Faith formation is essential to life at Westminster Church.  Children in preschool through fifth grade are encouraged to attend Sunday School, where they will get to know Jesus, grow in faith, and learn about sharing the love of God through words and actions.  Dedicated volunteer teachers work hard to teach the love of Jesus each week.  Thanks to these special leaders our children feel a sense of belonging, love, friendship, joy, and purpose.  In other words, they feel God.

Youth Sunday School

During the school year, our Youth Sunday School runs once a month, on the third Sunday of the month.  6th-12th grade youth are invited to their own classroom where they can dive deeper into the scriptures of the day and learn through games, activities, and discussion.

Intergenerational Sunday School

During the school year, our Intergenerational Sunday School happens on the first Sunday of each month.  During this Sunday all children and youth are invited to stay in worship for the entire service.  Afterwards the entire congregation, including the children and youth, are invited to our Fellowship Hall to participate in a potluck meal and lesson led by the Faith Formation Committee.

Youth Group

On top of the educational experiences of Sunday School that the youth can participate in we have a bimonthly Youth Group.  We meet twice a month to do either mission work within and without the walls of the church, or to gather in fellowship and fun.  Past events include movie nights, bowling, helping pack meals for those in need, ordering pizza and just talking around a meal, and much more.  6th grade through 12th grade youth are invited to attend these events which usually occur on Saturdays or Sundays.
